PROJECT LIFE: WEEK 4 AND 5

Wednesday, February 13, 2013

I am playing catch up on my blog with Project Life but there is a good excuse!  The second Friday of each month sees the gathering of the Project Life Ladies.  The last time I met with them I was organised, up to date and had nothing to do other than eat Diablo Cookies and pick up a few tips from the expert Project Lifers in attendance.

So at the meeting I set my folder down and started my writing and doodles.  It was quickly pointed out that I am breaking quite a few rules and have quite a different style of filling my pages, but in a good way.

I used a printable from MissTina blog to create the heart card with more QR code in it- Loving these links to our videos!

I even inspired a strict follower of the original rules of Project Life to write on her photos with a Sharpie!

I LOVE clipping little extras onto the side of photos and journaling cards.  Harry is so excited to see things he drew in the folder and has started doodling things just for the Project Life folder.  I don't really follow any rules about where I put his drawings and they don't always go in the week he drew them.  I tend to see spaces on photos or cards that just need something extra so either write, doodle or clip something onto them using a stapler.  I also bought a date stamp that I randomly put on photos and cards.  I have not used any of the journaling date cards as they are intended to be used as I prefer to fill the spread with my things and just have the dates dotted around the page.

I love the look of the stapled in drawings and cropped journaling cards

The "Fabulous Life" printable, rainbow background on Harry's finger puppet and "Life is Good" banner I cut out are from a blog called MissTina. Wonderful free and to purchase items, I suggest you check it out too.

We have family coming to stay with us soon and I cannot wait to show them the folder.  One of my main inspirations for completing this project was to help share our life here in Canada with anyone visiting from the UK as they miss so much of what we get up to every day.

  1. Hey Elyse,

Your PL is looking awesome!! I love that you said "forget the rules" right off the bat. I don't think I'll be following many either. PL is about our lives, after all.

Thanks for your recommended blogs today. I can't wait to get started. I just got an email this morning saying my stuff has been shipped. Yay!!

Keep up the good work. I'll be following along to see how you do.
